Although China has a lot to offer in terms of places to visit and adventures, there is one thing that holds back both most travelers and students: the language. This is absolutely understandable since Mandarin is seen as one of the hardest languages to learn.

2. Familiar with what you’re doing. Study in China in English will give a more comfortable university environment rather than study in a completely unknowing language. 3. Last but not least study in China in English can give you some major career opportunities inside the countries: you are the international English speaker that a Chinese company will need. Cons

1. Language barrier. Even though English is spoken in some parts of China learning the local language is essential to communicate with people. Study in China in English will limit your Chinese learning.

Learning Mandarin becomes the need of the hour. It is one of the most challenging languages.

2. Expat Bubble.  Living in China it’s all about finding the perfect balance between the new and the familiar. Not learning Chinese and just speak English will alienate you from the local culture and people.

3. Culture shock. If you’ve learnt some Chinese before going to china the culture shock will hit less than going as completely stranger of the language. Study in china in English won’t help you with this: you’ll get use to the culture but you’ll always feel a little bit lost if can’t communicate with local people.
